How do I connect ProductManager to my Shopify store?
You'll need to create a custom app in your Shopify Admin. Go to Settings > Apps and sales channels > Develop apps, create a new app, configure the required API scopes (read/write products, inventory), and then copy the Client ID and Client Secret into ProductManager's store connection dialog.
Why can't ProductManager use regular Shopify OAuth?
Shopify requires OAuth apps to have a web-based callback URL, which isn't possible for desktop applications. The client credentials method is the officially supported way for custom desktop integrations.
Is my data safe? Does ProductManager store my products on your servers?
ProductManager connects directly to your Shopify store and caches data locally on your computer. We never see, store, or have access to your product data, prices, or customer information. Your API credentials are encrypted locally using Windows DPAPI.
How do I set up AI-powered descriptions?
Go to Settings and enter your API key for your preferred AI provider (Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, or OpenAI). You can configure custom prompt templates to match your brand voice and generate descriptions for individual products or in bulk.
Can I connect multiple Shopify stores?
Yes! ProductManager supports unlimited store connections. You can switch between stores, sync products between stores, and even transfer products from one store to another.
What happens if I make a mistake with bulk editing?
ProductManager automatically creates backups before any bulk operation. You can restore previous values from the Backup Manager window. We recommend reviewing the preview before applying changes.
How do I import products from another platform?
Use File > Import Products to import from CSV, Excel, or XML files. ProductManager includes built-in support for Etsy exports and allows you to create custom column mappings for any data format.
The app says my trial has expired. How do I purchase a license?
